FOUNDER
CLIFFORD MCDONALD
In 2020 artist and social justice advocate Clifford McDonald founded Art 4 Change with the idea of using the transformative power of art to create positive social change. McDonald has experience as an arts educator, basketball coach, and youth advocate.
Clifford McDonald was born and raised in Sarasota, Florida, where he attended Booker High School and was a member of the Visual Performing Arts program and the basketball team. He went on to play basketball at the college level while earning a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Maine at Presque Isle. After graduating college, he played professional basketball in Uruguay.
McDonald’s focus shifted from basketball to creating art. While collaborating with other artists, he discovered how powerful art could be if created with a purpose. Inspired to make a difference through art, he now produces works that address social issues and promote the positive change he wishes to see in the world.
